An Easy Negroni Recipe You Can Make at Home

The Negroni has been on a sustained run of popularity for years now. It's a spirit-forward gin-based cocktail that's easy to make and has seen its fair share of variations and offshoots.

The classic Negroni is a great cocktail to master and to have in your repertoire at your home bar. Best of all, it's quick and easy to make with only three ingredients.

Negroni Ingredients

  • 1 oz gin

  • 1 oz Campari

  • 1 oz sweet vermouth

A Negroni is most often served on the rocks in a lowball or rocks type of glass. While it's easiest for the home bartender to simply combine and serve it this way, there is an extra-step method that you may wish to follow.

Start by combining the gin, Campari and sweet vermouth in a mixing glass and stir with ice. This will help to chill (and mildly dilute) the Negroni so that when you strain it into the serving glass with ice, the ice won't melt as quickly (as the Negroni will already be chilled).

Garnish with an orange peel twist, twirl or however you want to present the garnish.
