Lavender Haze X Bejeweled Cocktail
A cocktail inspired by Taylor Swift's Lavender Haze and Bejeweled
Seems like lots of people are making a Lavender Haze inspired cocktail these days. So when the challenge was put to me to make a delicious cocktail inspired by Taylor Swift's monster hit Lavender Haze, I decided to take it one step further to ensure this drink is truly unique.
The cocktail I came up with is not only inspired by Taylor Swift's Lavender Haze, but I also added a little Bejeweled shimmer touch with the addition of edible glitter.
The key ingredient in my Lavender Haze X Bejeweled cocktail is delicious lavender syrup. For this cocktail I used Monin Lavender Syrup. If you haven't tried it, it's a must. For the spirit component I went with a neutral vodka so as not to overpower the lavender flavor profile. I used Ciroc vodka, but any good quality vodka will do the trick.
The beauty from a presentation perspective, is that the drink is naturally layered. The Monin Lavender Syrup is heavier than the vodka, so it sits at the bottom — making for a nice visual layer (as you can see in the photos).
A good cocktail should be well balanced, so for the sour component I used fresh squeezed lemon juice and topped it off with a splash of San Pellegrino Limonata. The lemon accent is a perfect sour counterpart to the lavender — adding subtle tart complexity and balance — while still letting the lavender be the star of the show.
For the Bejeweled component, a little purple Brew edible glitter completes this delicious cocktail. Garnish with a twist of lemon and you're all set. You could say that this drink shimmers.
Lavender Haze X Bejeweled Cocktail Ingredients
1-1/2 oz Ciroc vodka
1 oz Monin Lavender Syrup
1/2 oz lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
1/2 oz San Pellegrino Limonata
Brew Glitter, Purple (edible glitter)
lemon twist for garnish
Non-Alcoholic Mocktail Version: Lavender Haze X Bejeweled
Since many Swifties are under legal drinking age (and for anyone who doesn’t want to drink but wants to enjoy a little Lavender Haze), it's easy to make a non-alcoholic mocktail version of the Lavender Haze X Bejeweled cocktail. Simply omit the vodka from the recipe above and increase the San Pellegrino Limonata to two full ounces.
Enjoy!
