Cherry Blossom, a brandy cocktail.

An elegant brandy cocktail with a hint of sweetness

Everyone knows that good brandy is best straight out of a brandy snifter, but brandy can also be good in a cocktail.

This is especially true if you have an "average" brandy on-hand that you might not necessarily want to sip neat. For those occasions—or if you just want to enjoy your brandy in a different way—the Cherry Blossom is a great brandy cocktail to make at home.

Cherry Blossom Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 oz brandy

  • 1/2 oz Luxardo Cherry Liqueur

  • 1/4 oz Triple Sec

  • 1/4 oz grenadine

  • 1/3 oz lemon juice (fresh squeezed)

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a martini glass, large brandy snifter or cocktail glass of your choice.

If you want to add a little garnish flare, a cherry blossom makes a great choice, as most cherry blossom petals are edible (if you happen to have access to fresh or dried blossoms, that is). A cherry or orange wedge/twirl/twist would also work with this cocktail.
