Gin Daisy Recipe
A Gin Cocktail that's Perfect for a Sunny Day
The Gin Daisy is a very refreshing drink that any gin lover will appreciate on a hot summer day (or any time of year). Even some non-gin drinkers may find this one appealing. The flavor profile is gin forward, but well balanced with the Cointreau, fresh lemon juice and grenadine.
It's easy to make and the Gin Daisy is a cocktail that you can have a little fun with when it comes to preparation and glassware.
Gin Daisy Ingredients
2 oz gin
1 oz Cointreau
1 oz lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
1 teaspoon grenadine
There are many ways to make a Gin Daisy. Shake it with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Serve it in a chilled beer mug with ice and a straw. Or simply combine it over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with seasonal fruit of choice, a lemon twist or whatever you like.
For the Gin Daisy pictured here, I added another twist and used Dillon's Rose Gin, which pairs perfectly with the grenadine.
