Tropical Storm Cocktail Recipe
The rich and creamy tropical cocktail you didn't know about
Do you like Pina Coladas?
If so and you would love to try something a little different (but similar) for a change, the Tropical Storm cocktail may be just what you're looking for.
This blender-created creamy cocktail gets its rich texture from a full banana. You'll need a blender for this one, but with no ice crushing duties required, any kind of blender should do the trick. Simply add the ingredients to your blender and blend it to a smooth texture.
Tropical Storm Cocktail Ingredients
2 oz white rum
1 oz banana liqueur
4 oz orange juice (fresh squeezed is best)
1 teaspoon grenadine
1 teaspoon pineapple juice
1 banana
Peel the banana and break it up into four or five pieces. Add all of the wet ingredients to the blender first, then add the banana pieces. Blend all ingredients then shake with ice to chill the drink. Strain into a hurricane glass and serve. Garnish with a fresh cherry, orange wedge or anything you like.
You will definitely get that vacation vibe with the Tropical Storm.
The Tropical Storm also does well with alternate ingredients. For example, try it with coconut rum or vanilla rum to change the flavor the profile.
