SKRT Hard Seltzer Review
Now available in Canda, SKRT Hard Seltzers are flavorful, well-crafted and perfectly blended
There's no shortage of hard seltzer products on the market, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for another — especially when that product is bold, tasty, light and refreshing.
SKRT Hard Seltzer is a venture co-partnered by music manager Dre London and musician Post Malone. Star power aside (which isn't a bad thing when it comes to adult beverages these days), they've teamed up to create four refreshing hard seltzer flavors that are now available in Canada.
I received a four pack to test and review and (spoiler alert), this is one impressive line of seltzers.
SKRT Hard Seltzers are crafted in Quebec using high quality ingredients and the proof of this product is definitely evident in the can.
Chill them well and enjoy a refreshing low calorie beverage that comes in at only 110 calories per can with an ABV of 5%. SKRT indeed reflects Post Malone's flare and signature style in a beverage. Each flavor is a perfect blend of flavor, refreshment and an easy drinking summertime (or anytime) ready-to-drink beverage for any occasion.
SKRT comes in four flavors:
Black Cherry,
Peach,
Lemon Lime and
Grape.
SKRT Hard Seltzer Review
SKRT Hard Seltzers are sparkling malt beverages. True to their promotional advertising, each of the four flavors does taste a little bit like candy. Dangerously good? You decide.
Compared to some of the other big brand seltzers we have sampled, SKRT is truly flavorful. It is not an obnoxious in-your-face flavor, but just the right amount so that you can enjoy the taste without a cloying sweetness.
Well done SKRT.
SKRT has a Full Set of Positive Attributes
In addition to having excellent and well-balanced taste profiles across all four flavor options, our tasting team noted another set of positive points for SKRT, including:
Can’t taste the alcohol (meaning these are not spirit forward)
There’s no after taste
They’re not too sweet
They’re not too carbonated and they are
Low in sugar, low calorie and low in carbs.
The only potential con is that they are not gluten free, as they do contain some barley.
Among the four flavors, the two favorites in our taste tests were grape and lemon lime. But all are equally good, so if you like peach, you’ll probably love SKRT Peach. The Black Cherry is a subtle cherry flavor when compared to the grape, which really does taste like a delicious grape candy. But the cherry is still a great tasting drink.
All in all, when it comes to the flavors you can buy with confidence or pick up a multi-pack and decide for yourself.
It’s always a good sign here at the Grand One Lounge when taste testers are scrambling for cans to finish drinking once the formal tasting session is over (which is composed of sips, sniffs and visuals based on WSET tasting protocols). That was definitely the case with SKRT Hard Seltzer.
