Hosting a Grammy Party or just enjoying the show? Enjoy a Passion Drop Signature Cocktail created just for the event.

To celebrate the 2023 Grammy Awards, GREY GOOSE vodka created a riff on its classic martini cocktail. The GREY GOOSE Passion Drop offers refreshingly light zesty spice in an elegant and well-balanced cocktail. It's ideal for sipping during the Grammy Awards broadcast (or at any time of year).

Forget the Mic Drop: Here’s How to Make a Passion Drop at Home

While the official GREY GOOSE Passion Drop cocktail recipe includes some very specific branded ingredients, here's how you can make it at home with easily accessible ingredients. It's just as delicious and very easy to make.

What You'll Need to Make a Passion Drop Cocktail

  • 1-1/2 oz GREY GOOSE vodka (or what you have at home)

  • 1/2 oz ginger syrup (I use Monin Ginger Syrup)

  • 1/2 oz passion fruit syrup or puree (I use Monin Passion Fruit syrup)

  • 1/2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice

  • 1/4 oz simple syrup

  • Lemon twist for garnish.

As a riff on a classic vodka Martini, the Passion Drop is shaken and strained into a Martini glass. It's then garnished with a lemon twist.

While the home bartender can strive to mirror the original cocktail presentation in terms of glassware, prep accessories and garnish, feel free to make it your own if you don't own Martini glasses or a cocktail shaker. The end result will be just as delicious.

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled Martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

The Passion Drop is a bright, tart and slightly sweet well-balanced vodka cocktail.

Make a Non-Alcoholic Passion Drop

I also made a non-alcoholic mocktail version of the Passion Drop for our daughter.

To keep it simple and to keep the beverage complexity in balance, I substituted 1 ounce of reverse osmosis water instead of the 1-1/2 ounces of vodka. An even substitution was not quite right, but using a little less water vs vodka was perfect. If you don’t have RO water at home (and not everyone does) you can use bottled water, or distilled water, or the filtered water from your fridge or jug. The point is to use a pure filtered water that won't affect the flavor profile of the Passion Drop balance.
